Bernard Gooden serves as a Mortgage Loan Originator at Be My Neighbor and is highly motivated to serve all Veterans and Active Duty service members. He recently started his career as a Loan Officer Assistant with the Military Mortgage Group and has quickly progressed to his current position.

Prior to his mortgage career, Bernard served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Defense Specialist. During his service, he conducted a combat tour in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Bernard’s guiding principles are customer dedication, communication, process transparency, timeliness, and proficiency.

Bernard believes that every Veteran in America should own a home and has dedicated his career to attaining this objective. He has a passion for assisting his fellow Veterans with finding the perfect loan product to fit their needs including the VA Purchase Loan, VA Streamline Refinance (IRRRL) loan, VA Cash-Out Refinance, and The CAL VET Loan program.

Bernard currently lives in Fallbrook, California with his wife Kerry-Ann and son. When Bernard is not working he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and working on his personal development.
